VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT THE SWFL FREE PAIN CLINIC: The clinic phone number is 941-677-0277. Ongoing needs include:
Volunteers to help set up the sanctuary and treatment rooms on Monday or Tuesday afternoons. This takes approximately 30 minutes;
Volunteers to cook a meal for 20 people, every 6 - 8 weeks, something simple like soup & salad, chili, tacos, etc. Meals just need to be delivered to the church, others will serve and clean up.
Volunteers to pray with the patients. Each patient is given the opportunity for someone to pray with them for any area of their lives. If you are interested in learning more, contact Carol Wheeler for more information.
Some of the items the Clinic needs are: paper towels, disinfectant wipes (Clorox or Lysol), ink pens (black and colored), envelopes (all sizes), clip boards and other office supplies. We also need food pantry items such as: non-wheat gluten-free crackers, canned meats (especially turkey and salmon), vegetables and fruits, peanut or other nut butters and crackers and snacks for patients in waiting room.
New or Used Bibles Needed for Free Pain Clinic Patients: The SWFL Free Pain Clinic is in need of easy to read and understand Bibles to give to the new patients and converts as they leave the clinic. Preferably a New International Version, The Message, etc. You may leave the Bibles in the food basket in the foyer or at the Welcome Center. Thank you for your support!
